Due to slick roads, the likelihood of continued freezing drizzle, and anticipated temperatures too low to thaw drizzle on roadways, Lubbock-Cooper ISD has canceled school today, Monday, January 30. Stay safe and warm, LCP family!
Lubbock-Cooper ISD will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 25. Buses will run on pavement only, also on a two-hour delay.
We encourage drivers to utilize the delay to allow themselves plenty of travel time to campuses, and to please use extra caution.

LCISD students in PK-8th grade can adopt a Lady Pirate Softball player for the upcoming season! The cost is $50, which includes a t-shirt that will admit your child into home softball games. Ms. Nichols' South Elementary Pirates are practicing random acts of kindness! They wrote notes of gratitude to Officer Wuensche for always keeping them safe!
Ms. McKay's South Elementary second graders had a collaborative discussion about Dr. Martin Luther King, his life, and his wisdom. They then split into groups and created a timeline of his life. We are so impressed by their knowledge!

Congratulations to South Elementary's Jaiden Rosales, who traveled to West Palm Beach Florida over Thanksgiving Break to compete in the National 3v3 Live Soccer Tournament and Championships! Her team, the Lubbock Cruz Azul Minions, is ranked number one in Texas!
